Did you know that women are entering the workforce at an astounding number in comparison to men? Many women have heard that problems of climbing up the corporate ladder, as well as the supposed "glass ceiling" which is basically a metaphor for not being able to get into upper-level management because of race, gender, and other discriminatory reasons.
However, as time passes and society becomes more and more progressive, business opportunities for women in the man's world are opening up. Women entrepreneurs are becoming more and more successful.
There are various Multi-Level Marketing companies that exist out there that cater to the relational tendencies that women have. Though many feminists would call that statement discriminatory, I am basing this on years of research within the field of evolutionary psychology. Some people believe that business opportunities for women are solely for women.
The idea is that many women are quitting the corporate world in sudden realization that they have children to take care of. Some are taking advantage of business opportunities for women. However, some men are also stepping onto the plate and allowing women to be the corporate bringer of the bacon.
Do business opportunities for women solely exist? I don't think so. However, society expects women to take part in ventures that also can be taken advantage of by men. For example, I was watching Inside Edition one day and it revealed that some men are taking the role of the "Avon Lady". This is an example of business opportunities for women that are being taken advantage of by men. So in essence, it matters what the individual wants, rather than the gender.
