black business woman, women entrepreneurs
Up until recent decades, it's been extra challenging to be a black business woman. The black business woman has had to overcome the twin hurdles of racism and sexism. But, fortunately, there are now many more business opportunities for women, especially the black business woman. Some of these opportunities come from women entrepreneurs creating their own business, or enrolling themselves and other women in franchise opportunities and things like multi level marketing. One area that's recently opened up to the black business woman has been working in government. One of the prominent examples has been Condeleeza Rice, of course, but she's hardly the only one. According to a press release issued yesterday, "Lurita Doan, Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), was today honored as one of The Network Journal’s most influential black women in business during the publication’s 10th annual awards ceremony. I wish to congratulate Ms. Doan as a Black Business Woman who's a great example for any other black business woman, and women entrepreneurs in general. Way to go, Lurita! You go, girl!
